Cabbage Borscht

Cabbage Borscht

1 cabbage
4 potatoes
1 large onion
1 green pepper
2 carrots
4 large tomatoes
1 large handful of fresh dill
3 tsp dill seed
1/4 cup butter
Salt and Pepper

Combine and cook chopped cabbage, onion, and green pepper in a large stock pot with butter and a cup of water. Add more water (for desired thickness and as space in pot allows), along with cubed potatoes, diced tomatoes, grated carrots, and dill. Salt and pepper to taste. Cook for one hour.
